Kayak for Kids

Kayak For Kids is an independently operated fundraiser event to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research & treatment. The CURE Foundation is our proud partner charity. All money raised will be donated to CURE. Who are we? We are a group of 17-year-old boys who want to change the world for the better. We are based in Forsyth County, Georgia and will be partaking in a once in a lifetime journey in an effort to bring awareness to the childhood cancer cause. This summer we will be kayaking nearly 500 miles south from Cumming, GA to the Gulf of Mexico using state river systems.  The expedition will take AT LEAST a week to complete. By doing this, not only will we be raising money for the children suffering from this gruesome disease, we will also be making history in the process. We will be the youngest to ever complete this long journey.  A trip like this will take a great deal of mental toughness. We fully acknowledge the challenges we will face. However, no obstacle we come across can compare with the type of impact cancer can have on a child and their family. At the end of the expedition we will hope to have raised $100,000 for the children who are suffering. "Paddle for the Battle" is our official fundraiser slogan.
