Katy's Heart Exam/ Patella Surgery

Hi everyone. I find myself in an uncomfortable position. My Katy is a rescue. She first lived with a horder, then with a fire department (she was the first non-human employee and even had her own badge number) and then when her trainer at the fire department died tragically, she went to live with the dispatcher. Life got a little crazy for the dispatcher's  family when they added a second child and instead of being neglectful or sending Katy to a shelter, they did the right thing and re-homed her. 

I am the very lucky human who got to adopt Katy. I am in love with this girl. She is so very sweet and loving. I was very sad to learn that she has a bad luxating patella on her left, hind leg. When we went to the specialist in Colorado Springs, we also found out she has a heart murmur. We need to get a good evaluation on heart murmur (around $800) and the surgery for her patella will be $2400.

I was trying to wait to save up funds, but her knee is really bothering her and the surgeon said we should get it fixed before her 3.5/4 (how bad the problem is) becomes a 4 and the ability to permanatly fix it goes down dramatically.

I am asking for help and promising that I will pay it forward. It would mean the world to me to get this fixed sooner rather than later for Katy.
