Katie Rehrer Hart's Neck Surgery

Over the last 11 years Katie underwent multiple brain surgeries. A few due to Chiari 1 malformation, another for a spinal block which led to a brain bleed and lastly a Decompressive Craniectomy. Each of these procedures have led to other health complications that continue to take a toll on her body.
Over the last 2 weeks Katie started experiencing severe pain in her neck and arms leaving her unable to do much lifting as well as have full range of motion in her neck. She was admitted into the ER last Sunday where tests were ran and she had a CT scan and an MRI done. The doctors concluded that she has compressed and herniated discs as well as pinched nerves. She needs to have a surgery done which includes a bone marrow transplant to help replace three discs in her neck and fuse them together with titanium. With already spending a week in the hospital, she will have to spend additional time at home recovering for 4 weeks with no work and our job unfortunately does not offer short term disability.
Katie is a single mother of 3 amazing kids. It would be a big help to raise this money to ensure that her children will still be taken care of in this time that she will be unable to work as well as to maintain the bills that come along with her home. She will be going in for her surgery this Friday, anything helps and we appreciate you taking the time to hear her story!
