David & Katie Schenone

On behalf of my oldest brother David he asked me (Andrea Santoro) to please post all of this about his wife Katie and have everyone pray for her!!!!! My sister in-law Katie Wednesday had an out-patient laparoscopic procedure. They found a lot of scar tissue in her abdomen due to two previous surgeries. The first was when she was 2 years old and in a very bad car wreck which caused multiple lacerations in her vital organs. The second surgery she had a bowel obstruction at 10 years old due to scar tissue and had part of her intestines removed. Wednesday’s surgery they had to call in a specialist to remove the scar tissue around her vital organs. They didn’t know how extensive it was and accidentally tore some of her intestines. At the time they didn’t know she had a torn intestine and was put in a room to hopefully go home that night or the next morning. Katie felt worse as time went by instead of getting better. The torn intestine caused sepsis which brought her into kidney failure and a life threatening place. Friday morning Katie was rushed into emergency surgery to save her life. They had to remove the damaged portion of her intestine and clean out her intestines which were filled with infection. Katie is in the ICU sedated and on life support. She will have her third surgery tomorrow (Sunday 8/4) to repair her intestines and hopefully close up her abdomen. Katie will be in the hospital for weeks. She is one of the kindest and most giving people I know. Please pray that the Lord will guide the surgeons and nurses hands and that she will have a complete and speedy recovery. Also please pray for her husband David and daughter Violet.

The last surgery was on Sunday 8/4, which went well.  It was amazing at how many warriors were praying for Katie & Dave and Miss Violet.   Katie is now out of the ICU and is recovering.  We would like to ask for your help to support this amazing family financially.   Katie will be out of work for some time and it’s on our hearts to bless them.  Your anything is something.  Let’s join together to help support this family.  Dave is a full time Minister, helping so many people, and I believe this is a time 
where we can come together and help.
