Kate's Care Educational Fund

In lieu of flowers, my family and I prayerfully ask that you support the endowment created in loving memory of my mom, Kathleen Collet. She was a leader not afraid to live by faith.
She worked as an administrator at Hope Lutheran School in St. Louis, Missouri for 34 years. She valued Christian education, and touched many lives throughout her faithful service. Not afraid to hug someone anytime, lend an ear when one needed it, patch up a bloodied knee or help cook 200 grilled cheese whenever "duty called", she will always be remembered for her willing, helpful spirit and warm smile whenever someone walked in.
However, she found it her true mission and calling to find financial help from any source she possibly could to help families that needed it. It was not uncommon for her to open her own wallet to make sure a child had lunch money or a school uniform. She honestly believed that every child should be given the same chance at success.
Born with a servant's heart, even after her beloved school closed, she continued to help support other schools and their families through her consummate fundraising efforts and donations at our family business, Shirtabulous.
We recently lost Kathleen (or Kate, as Dad always called her) to breast cancer. However, we find solace in her passion to help every Child of God. Please consider donating to Kate's Care Educational Fund: in memory of our mom or someone else you know who has passed, in thanksgiving for a survivor, or simply because your heart moves you to do so. By creating an endowment, our hope is that Kate's Care Educational Fund will grow into living testimony of hope and faith that will allow us to bless others, as our lives have been blessed by her.
