Hello everyone, my name is Kate Coakley.  I am 44 years old and last Christmas my world, and that of my family, was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with breast cancer which, I was informed, had metastasised to my bones and lung.  My oncologist informed me that the average survival time would be between 2 and 4 years.  They offered me chemotherapy as a way of delaying, what they consider to be, the inevitable. I refused this form of treatment and embarked on a journey of research and discovery, believing and hoping that there must be another way.

Thus far I have undertaken a whole raft of ‘alternative’ and ‘integrative’ therapies and whilst this path has brought me much healing, emotionally and spiritually, it has not provided the physical wellness I had hoped for.

Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to my liver and time really is now of the essence. I have sought specialist help and, after much research and consideration, the Hallwang Clinic in Germany is the clinic I believe to have the most comprehensive and cutting edge treatments. Based on an analysis of my specific cancer, they have created a tailor-made treatment protocol, which will offer the best results for me.   This is now my only hope of a cure.

I cannot thank people enough for their generosity, time, compassion and support over the last 18 months. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful support from my family and friends and to have met all the incredibly courageous people along this journey who have also pursued their own paths of healing.

I hope to become well, not only for myself and for my family but so I can share my story more fully.
