Hi everyone!
Today I’m here to talk about my sister. Her name is Noemi, but most people know her by her middle name, Karina. She is a hardworking woman, dedicated mother, and excellent human being. Unfortunately, she is going through a difficult situation since she was recently diagnosed with a ductal carcinoma IN SITU in the right breast. Her prognosis is very encouraging, however, we must ensure that the procedure to be followed is accomplished as soon as possible. Given that she has 3 different lesions, doctors recommend surgery; in which a double mastectomy must be performed and, with luck, immediate reconstruction of both breasts will be done. If this is not possible, a second surgery will be necessary for this a few months later. The truth is that the operation(s) is very expensive and Karina does not have health insurance to cover the expenses. Any help will be greatly appreciated. We understand that, for many, it may be difficult to help monetarily, however, to them we ask to share the information and spread the word with as many friends as possible. The money collected here will be used for all the medical costs as well as any other expenses generated as a consequence of this situation.
Please know that we have made all the necessary inquiries (including second opinions from other specialists) and we are confident that this is the best option to follow. Also, we feel really optimistic that everything will be just fine.

Hoy estoy aquí para hablar de mi hermana. Su nombre es Noemí, pero la mayoría de la gente la conoce por su segundo nombre, Karina. Ella es una mujer trabajadora, madre dedicada, y excelente ser humano. Desafortunadamente, está pasando por una situación difícil desde que fue diagnosticada recientemente con un carcinoma ductal IN SITU en el seno derecho. Su pronóstico es muy alentador, sin embargo, debemos asegurarnos de que el procedimiento a seguir se lleve a cabo lo antes posible. Dado que tiene 3 lesiones diferentes, los médicos recomiendan cirugía; en la que se debe realizar una doble mastectomía y, con suerte, se realizará ahí la reconstrucción inmediata de ambos senos. Si esto no es posible, una segunda cirugía será necesaria unos meses más tarde. La verdad es que la operación(es) es muy costosa y Karina no tiene seguro de salud para cubrir los gastos. Toda ayuda será muy apreciada. Entendemos que, para muchos, puede ser difícil ayudar monetariamente, sin embargo, a ellos les pedimos compartir la información y difundir el mensaje con tantos amigos como sea posible. El dinero que se recoja aquí se utilizará para todos los gastos médicos, así como cualquier otro gasto generado como consecuencia de esta situación.
Por favor, sepan que hemos hecho todas las averiguaciones necesarias (incluyendo segundas opiniones de otros especialistas) y estamos seguros de que ésta es la mejor opción a seguir. Además, nos sentimos muy optimistas de que todo estará bien.
