Karina’s GOT THIS

My name is Nereida and I’m KDs(Karinas), sister. In January of this year (2019) Kd went to the hospital with what was assumed to be severe migraines, however; after tests we found out it was a B9 brain tumor. Surgery was needed but it was a risky operation due to the place the tumor was located. She could’ve became blind on one eye or loose both visions. After the surgery the doctors decided to do radiation to reduce the tumors size/growth. She recently completed her radiation that was 5 times a week ( Monday - Friday) at Joe DiMaggio’s hospital. Then we found out that she needed surgery on her lungs (a bronchoscopy) due to an pre-existing lung problem. They’ve gathered samples and now we wait for the results. We want to find a therapist for my sister to help talk about what she’s going through or have her be around others that may be going though the same thing she is. My sister has been so strong through this journey and I never want her to lose hope or faith. The Reason why I’m doing this is because my mom is such a strong woman and will never show she is broken or have weights on her shoulder. Between driving & taking off work and working late nights is very hard. I want to help my mom get some weights off her shoulder and get her of debt with all these bills, not only medical bills but her personal bills as well. My sister doesn’t work or go to school because she can’t. My older sister has a learning disability & we have to constantly find a place that can watch her and take care of her. I can only do so much even while trying to pay for my own things and save for my own place. I do have an amazing family that has helped and continue to help but my mom does do this on her own. My parents aren’t together and my moms work is way more flexible then any of ours so she’s the one constantly running around everywhere, taking off, missing work, drive miles for my sister. Moms love is truly unconditional.

I know my sister is and will be okay, she’s about to be 21 on Halloween and I want to continue to have her get what she needs for any medical reason so that she can enjoy herself. I know this just an obstacle we have to get through. 

Never thought I’d make this, but just asking for help. Not for me... for my sister and my mom. I would give them the world if I could. I do appreciate those that took the time to read and helped & even prayed for my family. It truly means a lot. Again I thank you in advance
