Karen's Medical and Housing Cost

Donation protected
Karen is a single women with no children. . Nobody else to support her. She has never asked for help before. But we took it upon ourselves to try to help her in this time of need...There is a good chance she will lose her condo and can become homeless, so please if you can give anything that would be appreciated.
Karen on April 9th had a severe pancreatitis attack. She had to call 911 and was taken to the hospital. They then transferred her to Froedtert Milwaukee, where they had her on the trauma floor then to the surgical floor where she was for five weeks. This resulted in the discovery of a major cyst on her pancreas, resulting in no digestion. Surgeons performed risky surgery for the gall bladder removal, large cyst removal from her pancreas with permanent drain tube into the small intestine, and rerouted her whole stomach and digestive system into the small intestine as well. Karen is grateful for the successful surgery. She had been told that the result could have been a life time stomach feeding tube, and never eat normal food again. Now she is at home after extensive surgery, but will not be able to return to work for at least 6 weeks. She is not getting any disabilty...nothing. She now is behind on her mortgage payment and condo fees, utilities and past medical bills. Plus the new medical bills for being in for five weeks. She is a school bus driver and the school year will be over before she is cleared to return to work. Summer income will be limited to "possible" unemployment, until she is well enough to drive.
