Kappa Sigma - Annual Shave to Save

We are the brothers of the Xi-Iota chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. We are located at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA. "Shave to Save" is our annual event we host where the guys of the chapter shave their heads to represent what cancer patients have to go through. The event is October 26 from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at CSU clock-tower, everyone is welcome to come!
We raise money because many of our brothers in the fraternity have had family members affected by breast cancer. We put such an emphasis on this event because we want to show women that have been diagnosed and those who have survived that they are not in this fight alone. That there are people who are willing to demonstrate their commitment to the cause by shaving off all their hair and bring awareness to such an important issue many women suffer through each year.
We gather the money by going to local businesses and gaining sponsors. We also create partnerships with various organizations like the CSU Lady's Soccer team. 100% of the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society and we ask it goes towards breast cancer research.
This will be our 11th year hosting this extraordinary event. This is the longest running philanthropy event, within the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, that has given strictly to breast cancer research. Over the last 10 years, this chapter has been able to raise $82,000.
Our goal this year is to raise $15,000, and this is the largest goal we have ever set! We are looking for various ways to raise the money which is why this profile was created. We would like to involve the entire community to be a part of this great opportunity with our partnership alongside the American Cancer Society so they may continue to find ways to fight breast cancer. We believe $15,000 is an obtainable goal, but we need YOUR help to obtain it. No donation is too small - every little bit counts. Please help us reach this goal and we can fight the battle with breast cancer together!
