My husband Kaleo aka Bart has been battling stage four colorectal cancer and enduring chemo treatments since 2015. Chemo killed some of his cancer cells, but it also killed some of his healthy cells. Now he suffers with some nerve damage and overall body pain due to chemo treatments. He is in constant pain; on a scale of 1-10, he rates it a 5 every day. His worse is an 8, which is several times a week. He went from working full-time to being disabled because of his illness.
We went to Mexico for treatment... did not help. He used cbd oil, cbd w/THCa oil... did not help; his pain level was still at a 4, it did not increase his appetite, and his cancer still grew. And cbd oils come with a hefty price tag. He did radiation to his rectal tumor. It help shrink his rectal tumor and caused its own side effects. He still has some side effects and it’s been two months since discontinuing radiation. Which means he may need to see another specialist to address this medical issue.
He is starting chemo treatments using a different drug combination. This time, chemo drains him and has him feeling sick.
Since his displacement from work we have sought out help from various private and government agencies only to be turned away because we do not qualify for assistance. Reasons from we don’t have minor children to being a little above income limit. I, his wife, have increased my work hours, but it is not enough.
Please help us to raise funds for my husband’s medical care and treatments. He is a strong and loving son, husband, father, papa, brother, nephew, and a child of God who is loved by all.
