Kaitlyn's Medical Fund

My name is Christine Garcia, and I had the pleasure of working with Kaitlyn several years ago at Pastini Pastaria in Bridgeport Village. Since then we have been good friends and I feel very lucky to have her in my life.
Recently, Kaitlyn has been dealing with complications from her Crohn's Disease and has been in and out of the hospital for over four months. She has a surgery coming up in a few weeks and will be out of work for about seven weeks to recuperate from her procedure. Unfortunately, she has already used up all her paid time off with her previous hospital visits so is facing about two months without pay not to mention the  medical bills she has already accumulated. It is so hard to feel helpless when your friends or family are in pain and there is only so much I can do on my own but together we could do something significant to take away the stress of paying rent while trying to heal.  I am asking on Kaitlyn's behalf that we raise $6500 to assist her with covering two months of rent and basic utilities/groceries etc. The rest of the money raised will go to put a small dent in her medical bills to take some of the pressure off while she gets back into the swing of things.
