Kailey's Jamaican Dream

In November of 2018 I got the opportunity to visit an orphanage in Jamaica. I was with my church group and we were there for a week to serve the children, staff and directors in projects, relationships and loving into them exactly how Jesus asks us to. The very first day we were there, our leader told me about the opportunity for an extended stay and I smiled trying to brush it off quickly. But God placed that on my heart and later I wrote in my journal "If it's your will Lord, send me." 

After a life-changing week being with people who need love most, I came home to submit my application to serve longer - and was accepted that same day. I'm so honored for this Jamaican Dream to become a reality.

The funds received here will help me stay at the Nest for three months from January 2019 to March 2019. The cost for room, board and three meals is $35 a day. The funds will also support a plane ticket to get to Jamaica and funds to buy donations to bring down to the sweet growing children who need clothes and shoes.
