Kadoma School for the Blind is located in Kadoma, 140 km west of Harare Zimbabwe’s capital city. The school was established by the Jairos Jiri Association in 1964 and moved to the present location in 1981. Kadoma School which has an enrolment capacity of 200 offers primary education and training in skills of daily living as well as pre-vocational training skills in arts and crafts.

Unfortunately the sanitation facilities at the school have deteriorated to appaling standards. The toilets and bathrooms are in disrepair. They are out-dated, unpleasant and not adequate for the children's needs. The main issues are:

• The floors and walls are crumbling down
• Washing facilities need complete refurbishment
• The loos need replacing with toilets of various sizes so children of all ages can go to the loo comfortably.
• Tiling, paintwork and grouting is worn and broken and needs replacing or updating.

Unfortunately there is no money or finance available for this work . This is where our community, parents, family and friends of the school can help by giving a few pounds to help buy new toilets and repair the facilities.

We are hoping that the community and friends will come together to bring dignity, privacy and safety to the children.

Please spare a couple of pounds to help the school!
