Starkey Mission Trip

The Long Island Au.D. Consortium continuously strives to give their students new opportunities that can strengthen and reinforce their clinical experience. The program's third year Doctor of Audiology students are in the process of raising money in order to partake in a global hearing mission to Lima, Peru in January 2019.

For more than 50 years, the Starkey Hearing Foundation has been providing the gift of hearing to people in need. This foundation travels the glove delivering the gift of hearing to thousands of people each year who would otherwise live in the isolation of a silent world. Providing hearing care alone does not completely dissolve the psychological barriers that continue to cause many of these adults and children to believe they are limited in ability. The gift of hearing opens up a whole new world of opportunity. It connects individuals to life and helps them realize they can accomplish more than they ever thought possible.
