Emily’s Breast Cancer Fight
Donation protected
To my family’s surprise, it turns out you can have cancer-free mammograms and still have breast cancer. This is what just happened to my mother, Emily Corey. Four and a half years ago she was diagnosed with stage-one breast cancer that had not gone into her lymph nodes. The outcomes were thought to be excellent. However, out of nowhere, three weeks ago, she was diagnosed with stage-four, metastasized breast cancer. It has gone to her lung, bones, stomach, and thorax – in spite of the fact that her most recent mammogram (two weeks ago) was clear. She is being treated in Asheville and will travel to New York over the next few months to meet with a specialist at Sloan-Kettering. The deductibles, out-of-pocket expenses, and costs of the additional treatments and supplements needed to keep my mother strong during treatment, are prohibitive. We are asking for your help to cover these costs. A donation in any amount would be deeply appreciated and we ask, if it feels comfortable, to please share our request with friends and family.
Many Thanks,
Jed
