Help Save Willow!

Donation protected
We need your help because Willow is very sick and in critical condition!

Willow is a special dog. I know everyone says that about their dog, but Willow is truly special. In her first two years of life, she was passed around and eventually my daughter, Adaire, came across an ad that was offering her "for free." When Adaire met her, she couldn't understand why no one wanted her. She was mellow, patient, loving, adventurous, and incredibly loyal. The young man who was a temporary "guardian" of Willow pretty much tossed her into Adaire's arms because he was so ready to give her away. No questions asked.

Luckily, Willow hit the jackpot with Adaire, who takes her on adventures, spoils her with the good treats and bones, gets her beautiful coat groomed regularly to keep her "pants" under control and off the ground. She takes her to the vet, exercises her on hikes and at the dog park daily. And, most importantly, showers her with unconditional love. But that pales in comparison to what Willow has given: support through loss and anxiety, support during frightening nights alone when there are weird sounds outside of the apartment, maniacal kissing fits, the "I haven't seen you in a hundred years" dances when she just saw you two seconds ago. The list goes on an on. You would be hard-pressed to find a soul who has had the pleasure of canoodling with Willow since she has been with Adaire that has not been positively affected by her majestic and loving nature. She is a true gem.

Adaire took Willow on a camping trip and she was having a wonderful time with another pup when she instantaneously fell ill. By the time Adaire made it to the ER vet, Willow was already in critical condition. The vet has no idea what has caused this illness, but the immediate threat to Willow's life is that she has no blood plasma. Without it, she will die. As of this evening, Willow's vet bill was over $1000. It will be another $500 to do the first plasma transfusion and she could be in the vet hospital for up to seven days if she does survive. Right now, she is a very ill, little girl.

Adaire has opted to leave her overnight in an attempt to stabilize her. She will incur a bill of no less that $5000 in the attempt to save Willow's life. She was well aware of the risk of taking on another life and she has saved some of her own money for emergencies, but a serious illness of a pet can often be financially debilitating for a well-established adult, never mind a 23-year old getting started. Although, she has saved, it will only cover a minimal portion of the required treatment.

Any help is greatly appreciated from our entire family as Willow is not just a dog to us, but a true family member. If she has ever brightened your day with her innocent, shining heart, will you please help save her so she can continue to share her sweet spirit?!

ALL FUNDS WILL BE USED TO PAY WILLOW'S MEDICAL BILLS. I will upload pics of bills as they come in.

THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!! Truly!!
