Help Jodi Fight the fight

Fight on.

And she has been repeating this to us every single day. Now, more than it has ever been. 

Jodi Byfuglin is by far the strongest person I know. She continues to push through each and every day with a positive attitude and a smile, even on the hardest days. She is always the first to help others and has a heart much bigger than the rest of her body. It is time for us to help her too! 

On March 7, 2018, she was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer. After two invasive surgeries, her doctor has decided that the only form of treatment is a radical cystectomy, which is removal of the bladder entirely, as well as the surrounding lymph nodes and full hysterectomy to guarantee that the cancer will not spread. This will be a day long procedure followed by a week in the hospital recovering and learning how to live her new life. Her time once she returns home will be critical - with the first four months of recovery still managing drainage/IV/catheter tubes, trying to avoid any infection and keeping on bedrest to avoid any tears or complications post-surgery. Her doctor is confident that this procedure can CURE her by removing the cancer right at the root. We are so hopeful, and will need all the support, love, hope, and positivity we can during this time.
