The fight of his life

Hi my name is Vanessa washington I'm married to Muay Thai champion Cyrus Washington. We have four beautiful children and the promise of a good life together. Sadly, Sunday July 22nd, Cyrus was seriously injured on his job as Club Security at a Houston nightclub. A huge fight broke out and Cyrus intervened. He was just doing his job. Shots were fired. Unfortunately for us Cyrus Washington was shot in the lower abdomen and the bullet exited his leg, He won't show it but the artery that feeds blood to that leg was destroyed so if the surgeon didn't act fast Cyrus would have died from a blood clot or they would have amputated his leg. They put a piece of plastic in place of the artery. It will be some time before Cyrus can return to work and competition. If he is able to fight again.


Cyrus is the family’s bread-winner. As a result of this life-limiting injury, Cyrus can no longer  support our family. We do not have insurance of any kind. Now we have no income and need your help for medical bills, surgery and treatments. No gift is too small.
