URGENT FAMILY EMERGENCY
My father, Edwin Diolan Quiño, just suffered a stroke. He was rushed to the hospital where he had emergency brain surgery.
MEDICAL CARE IN THE PHILIPPINES
My family lives in Cebu, a small island in the Philippines.
There, medical care in the is not the same as it is in the United States. When skilled care is available, it is expensive. Most people in the Philippines live very humbly.
COSTS
My family relies on me to help them. To save my father’s life, I told them to go ahead with surgery, hospital care, medications, and rehabilitation. I said that I would find a way.
Now I am asking for your help. This is what he needs:
Brain Surgery $4,000.00
Hospitalization $1,000.00
Medications $1,000.00
Skilled Care $2,000.00
Rehabilitation $2,000.00
Known costs to date $10,000.00
WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW
I have pledged $10,000.00 to save my father’s life…except that I don’t have it. Financially, this could not have come at a worse time. My family and I need your help immediately.
My father was the breadwinner there. He drove a “tricycle,” which is a motorcycle with a side car that is used as a taxi. Now he cannot work. As a result, he cannot even feed his family – my brothers & sisters, nieces & nephews. This is serious.
I am the only one here in the United States. The rest of the family was eking out a modest living, with barely enough for food each day. They have no way to pay the bills shown above. And in the Philippines, if you don’t pay, the care ends and a life of grinding debt begins.
Please give what you can. Anything you can. $500, $100, $10…even $1. Please think about what you have and give something. Everything helps.
Thank You.
