Save Sophie From Lyme

Hi Everybody.

My name is Sophie Moore and I am a twenty two year old girl living in Ireland, Co. Cork. For those of you who know me well, you will know that I have been struggling with chronic health issues for much too long now. My relentless search for answers to the cause of my life debilating, unremitting pain, extreme physical discomfort and exhaustion have left me completely bankrupt with zero quality of life and having to leave my job and college course behind along time ago. It was both heartbreaking and a breath of fresh air to me to finally be properly diagnosed by a Specialist labatory in 2013 with Chronic Lyme Disease and several other bacterial tick borne co-infections and viruses. There is a very poor understanding of this very serious and life threathening disease in Ireland and consequently there are no treatment options available here, although the HSE did finally come out this year warning of the presense of Lyme Disease here, which is tramsitted by a tick bite, so that is a start I suppose.

Lyme Disease caused by the spriochetal bacteria Borrelia Burgdorferi, can manifest sysmptoms and cause destruction in every single body system. It attacks the connective tissues throughout the organs systems, the blood, skeletal and muscular systems and the central nervous system, wrecking havoc on the entire functioning of the human body. In the last two years alone I have been diagnoised with: Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Interstitial Cystitis & Bladder Dysfunction, Adrenal Insufficency, Hormone problems, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Neurological problems, Temporomandibular Joint Disorder of the jaw, Severely Enlarged Lymph Nodes & Glands,Suppressed Immune System, Tinnitus, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardis Syndome and LOTS more....I am also suffering from mercury and mold poisoning (aspergillus mold) due to my weakened immune system and the huge degree of bacterial load my body is trying to deal with. My immune system is completly shot, I have lost track of all the doctors and consultants I have seem who have not been able to help me.

As Lyme Disease and the co-infections that go along with it are not recognised here, health insurance does not cover any of the astronominal costs required to get this diesase uder control. I desperately need to get well again so I can get back to loving and living my life, instead of fighting for my life every minute of each day. I need to help raise awareness of this disease so that I can help other sufferers that are suffering in silence. I never want anyone to have to go through what I am going through and awaremess and prevention is the only way forward.

I need to travel abroad for treatment in America, it is my last chance at life and gaining my life back. The cost is very expensive due to the complexity of my case and they are the only people who have the knowledge and experience to deal with my very complex case. The cost is enormous. Treatment would involve several months of  various  specialist therpaies to rid my body of all the bacterial load destoying my body. It is so suffocating and lonely to be so chronically ill.

I need to put my shame behind me and ask you for your help. I need your help in anyway you can right now. I am so scared for my life right now and need proper treatment abroad before my heath gets even worse and more life threathening.

I am extremely committed to healing from this and want nothing more than to go back to living a happy healthy live instead of just surviving. I would appreciate any generosity towards my cause as I have run out of finances to fight this expensive debilitating illness.
