Melody's Memorial

Melody Farley passed away Saturday. She has been through a lot. Started out with a car accident. Not just any accident but a hit and run. Her car flipped and she said her bone had popped out of her leg. She said she was trapped in the car and had to wait to be cut out of the vehicle. She ended up getting a rod in her leg with hopes of walking again. She continued on to her normal life minus the fact that she could not walk. A few years letter she ended up getting a infection due to the rod in her leg. Then she had to get her leg amputated. By missing so much work from being in the hospital she could not stay at her job. By not working she lost everything. After being healed up from the amputation the hospital sent her away. With no home she went from hotel to hotel. It was not long before she was in the hospital again with a flesh eating bacteria virus. When I asked her how she thinks she might have got it she began to cry and said, "I don't know". The doctors said she wouldn't make it. But she did. With all the medications she took to survive she ended up having to get dialysis every week. But there were complications here too. The ports would continue to get clogged and she lost the use of one of her arms. Unexpectedly she had a massive heart attack. She just made 50 this year. We want to help the family as much as we can with the expenses. Thank you!
