My name is Stephanie Root, my loving husband and best friend, Justin Root, was diagnosed with Leukemia on July 31st, 2018 at the age of 29. More specifically, T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Our family has a long and tough road ahead of us. There is no doubt in my mind that Justin will fight this and we will get through it with the love, support and prayers from all of you.
He is currently undergoing an aggressive chemotherapy regimen & will require a stem cell transplant in the near future. The goal of the first phase of chemo is to induce remission. He will then hopefully be able to go home on or around August 31st, 2018. He will still require treatment for many years after this, but right now we are taking one day at a time to get him as healthy as possible.
Justin & I have been married 5 years & together for 12. We enjoy crossfit, boating, and taking our 6 year old chocolate lab, Luna, with us where ever we can. Justin also loves college football (Go Blue!) and hunting every fall with his family.
Justin is the love of my life and my best friend. He is a brother, son, grandson, cousin and friend to many of you. We need to pray for his strength everyday. He is tough, strong, driven and stubborn but despite all of that we we need your support.
Any financial donation you are able to make can help. We will use it towards medical bills & treatment, transportation & lodging for family, meals and countless other unknown expenses this road will bring. We truly appreciate your support during this difficult time.
