Justice For Quattro

Cyndi German  PATERSON, NJ
Quattro, the cat, was beaten to death with bricks on May 7, 2014 by a group of grade school children. Grade school children brutally beat a stray cat with stones, bricks and sticks which caused him to die a week later, police said.

Youngsters all under the age of 10 allegedly attacked the innocent feline near the School 4 playground in Paterson, New Jersey, on May 7. Suffering a broken leg and skull, and with one of its eyes destroyed, the savage assault on the kitty only ended when two older children stepped in and chased the gang away.

This happened on school grounds, near a playground in Paterson, NJ. The group was throwing bricks at the cat, who could not get away due to injuries. A 14 year old boy, who is a TRUE HERO and we are thankful and proud of him for standing up for what is right, saw these kids beating the cat with bricks, rocks and sticks, he ran in and grabbed the cat and took him home to his mother to get it help immediately.

Chance At Life Cat Rescue was contacted and immediately rushed Quattro to the vet. Among some of the injuries Quattro's legs were fractured, his eye so severely damaged that it had to be removed, his jaw was fractured, he had blood and pus in brain and his nails ripped from his paws in his attempt to escape this vicious attack but he was too weak and injured to get away.

We are heartbroken to say that Quattro was beaten so gravely that he succumbed to his injuries.

Our hearts are broken but our fight for justice has just begun!

We would like to honor the heros who stepped in and stopped this vicious attack. Two young teenagers, aged 12 and 14, who wish to remain anoymous had the courage to jump in and do everything in the power to save this poor and helpess cat.

It is because of these 2 brave young men that charges are now being pressed in this case. They worked with the police to ensure that justice will be served for Quattro. An act that requires a lot of bravery!

The 14-year-old wants to be a veterinarian since the attack and his younger brother is an aspiring photographer, but their mother said she can’t afford to buy him a camera he has been eying. Request have been pouring in on ways that we can help honor these two amazing boys act of courage and bravery.

This Go Fund Me campiagn will  be used to purchase the camera as well as start a college fund for the up and coming veterinarian.

If you would prefer to mail a check, please contact cyndi@pushnudgeshove.com.

All donations will be used soley for the two heros as a way to honor their bravery and help fulfill future college dreams.

If you are interested in making a donation to help cover the medical costs and shelter care for Quatrro and all the other beautiful kitties, please visit our website.

Let's turn tragedy around and not allow Quattro to have died in vain.

Dear friends, I would like to suggest we all send a message to the NAACP here: http://www.naacp.org/page/s/contact Telling them what you think about them defending cruelty against animals. My advice: be polite but clear, mention that it affects their image.

These children should be found and punished and the parents should face criminal charges as well! Can someone please post the link about the NAACP getting involved and who the hell got them involved in the first place... The little monsters' parents, no doubt!! I would like to know what all transpired after these disgusting kids were caught and their families informed that they viciously murdered a sweet little animal like this. My heart feels sick!!!

If you have not yet donated, this is the time, as the target goal approaches. These young men are role models for others. They risked their lives to rescue Quattro and were instrumental in identifying these vicious attackers. They had no thought nor promise of financial gain when they rescued Quattro. Let's reach goal for them and tell the world that we are thankful for their selfless actions.

I can't believe anyone would support animal torture. The NAACP has reached an all time low. Psychiatric illness knows no bounds, no race, no age, no socioeconomic background, no limits! Prosecute those kids and demand mandatory psych intervention. This kind of animal torture and lack of empathy among children of their age group suggests these kids have a very serious psych disorder called Conduct Disorder which if untreated developes into Anti-Social Disorder formerly called Psychopathic Personality Disorder. NAACP- There is something terribly wrong in these families and your supporting their horrific behavior has done a lot more damage than you know!

What a sad state our society is in. These kids will grow up to be criminals., gangbangers and drug abusers, no doubt. They already have a violent mindset and seem thrilled to have an opportunity to act upon it. If they can torture and kill an innocent animal, how much more easy will it be for them to attack someone who has something they want for themselves. Lock them up!

It is actually a failure on the part of parents as they could not teach their children to show love and compassion to animals... Disgraceful!

I went to the site Frank Mercuri posted. These people saying the like cats, but love their children more. Well, if they really love their children they will teach them more compassion. They are breading some self-centered kids who have no feelings for other life.

What in the hell kind of kids are we raising that kids under 10 years old would band together to beat a poor defenseless animal to death? Have their parents not taught them the value of a life , including animals? Scary to think how they will grow up if they think this behavior is ok. Glad they are facing criminal charges! Thank God for the young men that stepped up to the plate to save the cat. At least they have been taught right from wrong.

Children need to know right from wrong. The parents aren't doing their jobs. Who is left to do it ? To some Quattro was just a cat but he was loved and completely undeserving of a gruesome death.

Awful what happened to this poor kitty. Why don't/can't the medical and vet costs become the financial responsibility of the kids that are responsible for his injuries? These kids need to start learning responsibility from somewhere, and if their parents can't afford it...well....looks like they'll be picking up animal crap as they work off their debts for years to come.

These young men should be very proud of what they did. They stood up for an animal who couldn't stand up for himself. If we have more young men (and women) like this, then the future will work out just fine. Courage!
