Justice For Yahim!

Donation protected
On February 2nd 2019, 18-year-old Yahim Harris was shot four times in the chest by the Wilmington, Delaware Police Department.

Yahim spent the next 13 days slipping in and out of consciousness before being released from the hospital and placed in his mother's care. Even though Yahim is still recovering from his wounds and attempting to finish his senior year of high school, the government revoked his bail on May 21 due to a technicality.

He's now being held under the weight of $136,000 cash bail. The state is throwing the book at him in order to justify shooting him.

 Yahim needs your help!

Yahim's mother, a single mother of 4, has a great lawyer lined up, but we need to raise $1,500 for his retainer. The immediate priority is to get this lawyer to file a motion to get Yahim out of jail and in to summer school so he can catch up and graduate high school.

$1500 is not that much money, but for Yahim's family and Food Not Bombs Wilmington, it's a tremendous burden and we need our friends and friends of friends to step in and throw in a few dollars where we can.

Please share this link. It will cost you nothing, but could do wonders for Yahim and his family.

Any extra money we raise will go to Yahim’s family. His mother has missed a lot of work to care for him when he was recovering and to attend his court hearings.
