Justice for Maina
Donation protected
On the 22nd of December, my husband’s cousin, Maina was tragically shot by Police when innocently walking home from watching a football game with his friends in Kibera, Kenya. The officer assumed that he was a thug, and thought he had the right to end his life. The injustice is so hard to bare.
Maina was incredibly intelligent and had been granted a full academic scholarship to study engineering at the University of Leeds in the UK. This scholarship gave his family so much hope for his future and that he would make a difference in his community. At the time of his death, he was on a break from his studies.
I have set set up this page to help Maina’s Family pay for the unexpected expense of a funeral and also any legal expenses they may endure to seek justice. Any small amount of money can make a difference.
