The journey I have gone through the past four years is one of shame, blame and isolation. A once happy accomplished life has been darkened with depression, nightmares, PTSD, loss of income and dignity.
As a Safety & Environmental Coordinator employee of a major airline, I went against local management and reported a major EPA violation. From there sex discrimination, harassment and a hostile work environment began. A less qualified male was hired to "push me out".
A member of management began to sexually harass me daily. He trapped me in a room and sexually assaulted me. When I reported the harassment to my boss he did nothing and assigned us a project to do together. (The assault took years to process due to suppress memories)
I began to seek mental health services and diagnosed with a disability. I told my boss I needed time off to accommodate the appointments. The harassment continued from members of management and didn't stop.
The mental health bills including a three month outpatient stay in a private wellness recovery center are exborbitant and have depleted my savings.
I now lack the means to continue to sue in Federal Court and feel money shouldn’t be the reason perpetrators aren't punished.
After years of fighting the big Goliath corporation by myself, I want to be a voice for victims.
Please consider donating anything you can for medical and attorney bills. Therefore, justice and equality can finally prevail against corporations abuse of power.
