Hello! Most of you know me because I have cooked for you. I have dedicated my adult life to food and learning about flavor & nutrition. I have a great opportunity to open a space at the Mount Vernon Marketplace in Baltimore, MD. At this time, I have scraped together all of my savings (and credit cards) and still need a bit more to cover the costs of opening. I created this Gofundme to reach out specifically to you--my friends, family and favorite former clients, because you have been the ones who have proven over and over that you support me. Juniper Culinary Apothecary
A retail shop offering an eclectic selection of culinary herbs, spices, hard-to-find ingredients and superfoods. Products are sold in a bulk format and displayed in an old-world apothecary style, in large glass jars. We will also offer fresh & live herbs and edible flowers.
Juniper's storefront will be complimentary of the MVMP's interesting modern industrial style, with metal and glass shelving and a black and white color scheme. Old world elements such as wood accents, live plants, and a large Turkish kilim rug will bring a unique feel to the shop.
Customers will be able to smell, see & experience the ingredients and receive free recipes & suggestions. I want to offer a Blend-You-Own-Tea bar with locally produced dried herbs, teas & flowers. Orders will be written on a specially designed sheet and given to the store associates so that you can continue to browse & sip tea while your order is assembled & packaged for you.
