We lost our home

We would appreciate some help to get back onto our feet.  I don't like asking for help at the best of times ... but here it goes.

We have lost the contents of our home. Completely. Without any warning.

We (myself and my two daughters) arrived back last Friday from holiday to find our house destroyed. A pipe had frozen in the cold whilst we were away and had then burst. The water flooded the top floor, then the weight of that collapsed the ceiling through the lower floor. The lower floor then flooded and everything collapsed. Then mould covered everything.  






What is needed is just some help so that we can get some basic furniture to get into a short-term lease. Our pets are currently separated from us and it's killing me as my Irish Wolfhound  Gatsby started crying when I left him at the kennels yesterday afer a visit. I want to try to get into a house asap just to give my two daughters some routine and allow them to cuddle their pets as I'm sure that's going to make them feel a lot better than they do right now.



Anyway - that's the short version. We are very shocked and trying to be as practical about what it is we need to do to get back on our feet. I had to name an amount at the beginning of this funding page and to be honest, I have no idea what we need -  I would be grateful for anything. We do have some insurance but that's going to take time to come through and I'm only just realising that it isn't going to replace the photos, my grandmother's lamp, gifts and the school books I had saved over the years.
