Julian is a local kid from Kingston, WA and is my best friend's son. He was born with cerebral palsy. His mom is the best mom he could ask for and hands down the best mother I have ever known. She's a single mother that has devoted every second of her life to her son and now she needs some help.
Julian and his mom went to Mazatlan Mexico to visit family. He contracted a virus last week and it turned into pneumonia . He's been in the hospital in Mexico for 8 days now and he's not improving. He had a tube inserted into his left side 5 days ago to drain fluid that was building up around his left lung. He’s still in bad shape. Breathing rapidly and needing oxygen.
We are trying our best to get an air ambulance paid for to get him to Children's Hospital in Seattle, WA. We received 2 quotes. One from San Diego called Aero Medevac $39,500 usd and one from Angel Med Flight for $32,600 usd .
Everyone at Childrens is ready to receive him. We called last night. Dr. Johnson from ENT is on the case and wants to get him in the ICU. He has already informed the ICU doctors about the situation
The unfortunate thing about the Medevac option is that they want payment in full, up front.
