Andie & Karli’s Costa Rica Trip

Dear Family and Friends,

From June 23rd-30th, we will be going to Costa Rica with Agua Viva Serves in order to drill wells and build the mechanisms  necessary for clean water. We will be getting involved with the community, and diving deeper into our faith journey.  In order to be able to get both of us on the plane and ready to serve, we need to raise $2,800 ($1400 for each of us). We will need the money by mid June for this to all happen.

This money will be used for airfare, food, lodge, and all materials/tools needed to drill wells, lay pipes, and build water towers. 

We are excited to work together and grow in our faith as we endure a week of hard work in order to serve our friends down in Costa Rica. Your support will not go without recognition, and we deeply appreciate every cent donated. We are so grateful to be physically and mentally able to endure the hard work that this trip calls for, and we are excited to meet and connect with the community.

Family and Friends,

As many of you may or may not know, I went on my first mission trip in June of 2015. I went to the Bateys in the Dominican Republic to build community and help serve those who work day in and day out in the sugar cane fields. It was an absolutely life changing trip, one that broke me down into tears arriving home to see all that I am blessed with here in the US. One thing that is widely taken advantage of here is our main source of life, WATER!

This June, I am planning to go on a mission trip to Costa Rica. There, we will be drilling wells for communities that do not have any source of clean water. That involves drilling the wells, laying pipes, and building towers. We will also be involved in the community to serve, as well as spreading the word of God. I will be going on the trip with Agua Viva Serves,  alongside a dear family friend, Richard Brelsford. In order for me to be able to go on the trip, I need to raise $1400. That money will go towards airfare, food, lodge, and supplies needed to bring clean water to our friends down in Costa Rica!

Costa Rica is a beautiful place, known for the great surf and the widely used “Pura Vida!” That means “pure life” in English. Without pure water, there is no pure life.

I’m also attending this trip with my best friend, Karli Leonard! It’s amazing to have a friend who has a similar mindset, and a passion to serve others. She is strong in her faith, and I’m excited to grow closer to the Lord with her by my side! She will also be raising the money to be able to go on this trip.

With that being said, all donations are highly appreciated. No big donations are necessary, the little ones here and there are what make the difference. 

Some of the photos are personal ones I took in the Dominican Republic, and others i had added from the Agua Viva instagram account. People experiencing clean water for the first time is something I’m excited to be a part of, please help me get there!!

Family and Friends,

This June I will be taking my mission work international and going to Costa Rica with Aqua Viva Serves. We will be drilling wells, laying pipes, and building towers for communities that do not have clean and reliable water. It’s hard to think that as individuals we take the smallest things for granted, such as clean water. Personally, I forget how blessed I am to have clean clothes, water, food, the list can go on.  

I need to raise $1400 to make this mission trip happen; this money will cover my airfare, food, lodge, and supplies needed to give these communities water.

I am so very excited to serve for my Lord and grow closer to Him. I can’t wait to spread the word of the Lord to the beautiful people of Costa Rica. I will be going on this trip with my sweet best friend, Andie Baker. She is so very passionate about Christ and the most selfless and loving person I know. I am so excited I get to share this experience with her.

I feel so blessed that Christ has given me this opportunity to go and spread his love around the world and I am looking forward to sharing my experience with each and every one of you.
