Overview:
Are you passionate about Type 1 Diabetes education? Help bring one of the world’s best Type 1 Diabetes speakers Scott Benner to Australia to present at our workshop in Melbourne.
This event is focused on the immediate daily challenge of Type 1 Diabetes management.
The Juicebox Podcast started in 2015 and has had 750,000 downloads. Scott has around 5,000 Facebook followers across his blog and podcast Facebook pages.
Event:
A half-day workshop on a Saturday in August 2019 for people with Type 1 Diabetes in Melbourne with popular podcast creator Scott Benner.
Presentation:
Scott will discuss the simple strategies that he’s developed for managing his daughter’s blood sugars. Including:
· Being bold with insulin (take 100% of the insulin required rather than taking 50% and fearing a low)
· Trust that what you think is going to happen is going to happen (if 9 times out of 10 a set of choices cause a high blood sugar – act accordingly)
Group Q&A:
This is an opportunity for the group to talk through their questions with Scott. The group will benefit from Scott’s relatable style and his ability to simplify concepts.
Lunch:
Opportunity to connect and chat over some lunch.

Donations:
Our target of $5,000 (AUD) will cover the speakers flights, accommodation and our venue hire for the event.
