Jubilee Church Football Ministry

We are a team that aims to provide support for young people whether it be vocational or emotional. We do this through creating an opportunity for young people in the Enfield borough and outside to come together to play the simple game of football weekly. Beyond this we try to ensure that we provide consistency and routine for the young people that attend the sessions giving them responsibilities, focus and discipline; this allows them to have an element of stability in their lives which in some cases would not otherwise have happened.

It is a ministry that shapes young people’s characters and mind to help give them individual purpose and hope. This is achieved by hearing and seeing the love of Jesus Christ weekly.

We are looking to raise £2000 to help pay for expenses such as facility hire, sports equipment and activities for the young people that the Football Ministry attracts. This team is passionate about the work they do as it creates a positive environment for the young people that attend. Some of our attendees have been with us for years while some are new, yet all look forward to the sessions fervently. It is a time where we get to engage with young people and build relationships, therefore allowing us to be a support system for them if need be outside of football hours. We engage with the young people on topics such as college, job applications etc, always trying our best to share with them opportunities that we come across in these relevant areas.

Words cannot describe or express how grateful we are to have the ability to provide this service to young people. We have seen over the years how lives have been radically changed for the better, relationships mended, communication barriers broken and many more. We want to ensure that this work continues to make an impact by reaching even more young people.
