Susan's Medical Funds

On  Feb. 21, 2017 Susan Gilmore was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.  She needed immediate surgery  and underwent surgery on March 3rd.   We were told by the  doctor  prior to surgery that all indications showed a probable stage III cancer  which would have included a progressive metastasis  outside of her ovaries.   Instead of this result, that day our prayers were answered, and the  post operative  report was that the majority of all of her cancer was encapsulated within the ovaries    Only a small quarter size area outside of her uterus showed,  what the doctor called, a suspicious area of metastasis.  This was  an incredible answer to prayer.  The doctor is now saying it is not stage III -  although we do not know the exact staging of the cancer as of yet - and will not know until the pathology report.  She will still have to undergo chemotherapy at UAB but she is rejoicing in that God has answered many prayers and she will be eternally grateful. God also answered prayers regarding her financial needs and the UAB  charity foundation approved  the funding of Susan's medical procedures associated with UAB.  This was an amazing relief and a direct answer to specific prayers regarding her financial medical needs.   Because of this we are reducing the amount requested to $10,000      She will have many associated medical costs due to traveling to Birmingham to receive chemo treatments,  local follow up appointments ,and also prescription medications and other needs.   Thank you to everyone who  has or will contribute to this fund - all monies are greatly appreciated and will be used for associated medical needs.   Please continue to donate until we reach our goal -  it is within reach !
