Kingsville Band Trip to Chicago

The Kingsville School District is a rural school with about 250 students kindergarten through twelfth grade. The band program is growing, and it is an integral part of the overall school curriculum. The students have an opportunity to start band in the 5th grade, and classes continue into high school.  The students and teacher, Mrs. Carr, do the best that they can to strive for excellence with a small-school budget. The Kingsville Band program received the American Graduate Champion Award from KMOS-TV in June of 2015. The band program is award-winning and educational.  

Students in the program have no experience playing outside of Missouri. They have traveled to local contest, but they would like the opportunity to travel and learn from the best. Mrs. Carr believes that students in small schools deserve to have the same opportunities of those in larger districts. A trip to Chicago will be ideal because most of the students have never traveled outside of Missouri. They would have the opportunity to perform and learn from experts on this trip. 

The funds will need to be collected by November 2016. If the money is not raised, students will be resposible for their own allottment of $500 per person.  The band would be so grateful if you would consider donating to this educational trip. It will be an experience that they will have to remember their entire lives. Thank you!
