1984

As a high school English teacher, I have long wanted to teach 1984. It's messages both are timeless and profound, and it will serve to spark productive discussions and reflections. Like me, almost everyone who has read this novel counts it as one of their most formative and empowering early reading experiences. 

"War is Peace."
"Freedom is Slavery."
"Ignorance is Strength."

Unfortunately, public schools like mine are only allowed to order department textbooks every 7 years, and with no guarantee that you will receive what you request. Since my department is still a few years off, and since the concepts explored in this novel were so prescient, I'm asking for some assistance in acquiring enough Permabound editions to teach it for many years to come.

Even if I come up short of my goal (65 copies), I will still use the money to purchase as many as I can which I will set to good use. If I happen to surpass my goal, I will distribute extra copies to other English teachers in Minnesota. 

Maybe I'm just a romantic, but I believe that altruism truly will lead us to a stronger future. Please help me empower our future leaders today!
