Josie's Breast Cancer Journey

As many of your know, and some of you are just finding out at the end of May 2018 my best friend at only 38 years old was diagnosed with stage 3, Invasive Carcinoma grade 3 Breast Cancer.
The last 6 weeks have been a busy whirlwind for her and her family. Full of appointments, test, scans and more appointments. The plan of treatment as of now is aggressive Chemotherapy for four months and then surgery, whether this will be surgery to do a lumpectomy or a mastectomy will depend on the results of her genetics testing. This past week she has received her second of eight Chemotherapy treatments over the next few months.
Josie is one of the most caring, smart, loving and beautiful people I know. She is an amazing wife and mother to the two most beautiful girls 7yrs and 11yrs old. Not only is she a great friend but she loves my littles like her own and every other little one she as has had the chance to care for over the years. In January of this year Josie decided to go a new path in her career by closing her daycare and moving onto a great new job, unfortunately in doing so she does not have enough hours in to be able to get benefits or EI. I have watched her over the last 6 weeks in amazement as she carries on and has tried to make it in for her shifts even when she hasn't been feeling the best.
I know I have had a lot of people asking me how they could help and this is truly the only thing I know could really help right now. Is the peace of mind knowing that things will be ok financially for her family without worrying about going into work when she isn't well and being able to focus all her energy on her body resting and healing.
I know this will be a fight with lots of ups and downs and I also know she has a strong group of people and angels watching over her and loving her that will do our best to be her comfort and strength when needed! <3 <3
