Josi's Social Work Trip to the Dominican Republic

Hi friends, sorry to bombard you with so much information but what I'm about to talk about is really important to me !!
I am super excited to announce that I have the opportunity to take a course that directly relates to what I hope to do in the future with social work. The trip I've been accepted into is designed to prepare students to understand and address the complex issues associated with working with micro-enterprises, healthcare systems, cross-culture issues, and marginalized and at-risk groups.
I'll get to engage with non-profit organizations, visit local government offices and clinics, and explore the geographic and sociocultural context in which healthcare, migration, entrepreneurship, and social justice take place throughout the Dominican Republic. I have added a couple slides from the exact presentation about this opportunity to put a more informative touch on this gofundme!
The trip as a whole costs $5339 but I'm happy to announce I've received a $1500 scholarship! Unfortunately, travel is expensive and the remaining money needed would cover passport expenses, a round trip flight, and housing and food while there. I'd be super grateful for even a few dollars!
I would also be incredibly grateful if this gofundme was shared across any platform you feel comfortable because again, this trip is really important to me!
