On Monday, March 21st , Josh was stuck by a motor vehicle while sitting at a bus stop in South Florida when two vehicles collided. Josh was fortunate enough to have been paying attention and was able to dodge the brunt of the collision. Staff from his medical team and first responders have said repeatedly that this accident would have taken his life had he not have been paying close attention. Doctors are expecting a full recovery that could take up to a year. Josh will be undergoing multiple surgeries here in Florida. He will also be needing intensive therapy and will not be able to return to work until he is able to walk again. I have been here to experience first-hand the emotional toll this accident has taken on not only Josh but his friends and family as well. No one should have to experience the road to recovery after an accident this traumatic alone. His family will be flying back and forth from Ohio to Florida and taking time off of work to be here with Josh in his recovery process. No need to worry that sarcastic witty sense of humor remains intact, along with his bright smile and contagious laugh. He has impacted my life in a way that I will never be able to show enough gratitude for and if you have the pleasure of being a friend or a relative of his I think it’s safe to assume the same. The purpose of creating this account is assist Josh and his family with the financial burden of medical bills, travel expenses, and any other unforeseen expenses.
