23172808_1503743551.3745_funddescription.jpgTo those of you that know Joshua Gantt Harris, and everyone else who doesn't, please read as this is one of the hardest Gofundme accounts I have shared.

Right now Joshua, is in the hospital. I don't have permission from him to share all the facts. However, I can tell you, that right now he is alive and fighting. He has been in the hospital since  August 10, 2017.  On August 18, 2017 Joshua had to have emergency surgery, after which he had to be placed in a medically induced coma, to allow his body to recover.

The bare bones of the situation are that he is in critical condition and his doctors are sayiny that he will have to spend several weeks, if not months in the hospital and  a rehabilitation facility, before he is able to return home and to work. Back to life as he knew it.

We are asking that everyone reading this to first and foremost PRAY.  Send healing energy and thoughts. Send well wishes or hugs and surround him in positivity.  We ask you to stand together with us,  as we believe God, for Joshua's total and complete healing.

He is slowly making progress and we have faith that he will win this battle. However, this is only the beginning of the many trials he will face.  His road to recovery and independence will be long, but if you know him, you know he would be there for any one of us were we in his shoes.

Clearly, the purpose of this link is to ask you to PLEASE donate whatever you can, to help with the astronomical mounting medical cost and expenses he will be facing for the foreseeable future. We are deeply grateful for any and all contributions.

PLEASE, won't you help with the continuing monthly costs of his rent and household bills, so that Joshua will have a place to come home to? Your donations will also help to insure that Joshua's son, Noah will be taken care of at a time when he can’t do it himself.

It is also important that his family members, have all of the help they need for travel expenses, as well as food and drink costs. Someone from Joshua's immediate has been by his bedside day and night. It has been difficult for his mother to leave his side. It is just as important to Joshua's healing that she stays healthy during this time.

For those of you that have already visited Joshua in the Critical Care Unit at Valley Medical Center in Renton, WA,  please, please continue to visit. You may not be aware that you play a critical role in his healing.  PLEASE don't stop at once.

This Gofundme Campaign will remain open for as long as possible, in the hopes that those of you who want to continue on a continued basis to help WILL and others will keep spreading the word.

Thank you all for your continued
prays and support.

First of all I would like to thank the many family, friends and strangers that have been praying for Joshua's healing and recovery.
The doctors continually told me that they didn't think he was going to recovery. At one point they sent in a Palliative doctor in to support me and the family because in their opinion, Joshua was going to die.
What a might God we serve and trust in. For the first time I and my family has to truly put our faith in God. God tells us to walk by faith and not by sight, for what we see is only temporary. 2 Corinthians 5:7 For 1 months we watched the monitor in Joshua's room in the Critical Care Unit. What we saw wasn't good and in fact point to his declining heal, but still we believed God would heal him and He DID!!!
For those of you who do not know Joshua is in the 2nd stage of his recovery which is rehabilitation. He lost so much muscle tone that he was unable to move. While still on a ventilator to support his breathing he was so weak he couldn't even hold a pen to write. He is now learning to sit up and walk on his own. Watching him stand up and take his 1st step was very emotional for me.
Now, to the part I hate the most and that is asking for finacial help for Joshua. Joshua has been hospitalized for 74 days. As you can imagine the cost of such a lengthy hospital stay will be astronomical. Even if the medical insurance he had when he went into the hospital is still in affect, he will have an out of pocket cost of 20%. Having not worked in 74 paying this will be impossible.
Joshua was on short term disability which ended on September 22, 2017. This is where you his friends come in. This GoFundMe will be extended in order for you to help Joshua recover financially. His rent is due in a few weeks, his power and bills are pass due and scheduled to be disconnected. His need is great. This does not take in to consideration the care of his son Noah.
PLEASE won't you help. I know this is tough times for many of you financially. Without your help I don't know how he will get through.
Tuesday Joshua will be transferred to in patient rehab to re-learn what you and I take for granted. He will continue to need your prayers, love and support.

A VERY grateful mother
Learning to walk.

There has been an wonderful outpouring of love and prayers from friends and family who's lives have been touched and blessed over the years by my wonderful son, Joshua Gantt Harris. So many of you have reached out asking how you can help, outside of your prayers. That is why this Gofundme Campaign was started. Be assured that all monies raised will go directly to supporting Josh in paying the astronomical medical/rehab bills and housing costs that are quickly adding up.

Josh is still in the ICU, recovering from emergency surgery on August 18, 2017 to repair a rupture in his large intestines. Because of the rupture many of his organs have shut down due to infections brought on by Toxic Shock. The road ahead for Josh is going to be a very long and expensive one. Please help support Josh in his recovery with whatever you can give that will relieve the astronomical financial burden he faces. Any amount, large or small will be greatly appreciated.

Josh's medical bills and rehab costs are estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands. Your financial assistance and with the help of his family, Josh can focus on his recovery and rehabilitation, as he works to getting healthy and stronger.

Josh will need help with medical expenses that aren’t covered by insurance, doctor’s bills, rehabilitation and physical therapy costs, insurance co-pays, rent and utilities due to lost wages, as he will be unable to work for many months. Josh has a VERY long road ahead of him. Not having to worry whether he will have a home to return to is just one of the many burdens he will have to overcome.
It will likely be six months or more before Josh will be able to return to work. Won't you give something today?

I've included a picture of Josh's son Noah with a big smile on his face when he sees his dad open his eyes for the first time in four weeks Blessings to you all,

Josh's Mommy
