Josh Royal's Eagle Scout Project

As you know I have been very busy the last three years in Boy Scouts. 

Now the time has come for me to complete my journey to the rank of Eagle Scout.  The last requirement that I have to do is to complete my Eagle Scout Project.    I am asking for your help in completing it. 

My project is a prayer garden for the Poor Clare Sisters.  If you do not know who the Poor Clare Sisters, they are part of the Order of St. Clare.  They are a group of cloistered Roman Catholic Nuns, residing in a peaceful area of Northwest Omaha.  Prayer is the sole lifework of the Poor Clares, and is the way they serve God’s people.  Followers of all religious faiths are encouraged to submit their prayer requests to the Poor Clare Sisters of Omaha.  You are also welcome to celebrate Sunday Mass with the Poor Clares at 9:00 am in the monastery chapel. 

My project will benefit the Poor Clare Sisters in serving all who seek God in prayer.  This prayer garden will include a 200 ft. poured concrete walking path, a garden area, benches, and markers along the path.  This will be a circular path that will have poured concrete stairs with handrails leading from the main sidewalk to the path. The garden area will have multiple types of little to no maintenance flowers, plants, shrubs. The benches will be placed around the walking path.  There will be six markers along the path, representing the six categories in the Hymn of Creation masterpiece of St. Francis.  I am asking for your financial support, based on the following levels from the Hymn of Creation, as suggested by Sister Theresina Santiago, OSC.   The Poor Clare Sisters will send you a tax receipt.

Brother Fire - $200

Sister Mother Earth - $10 to $100
