Josh's Courageous Battle

Donation protected
Joshua Riley Wingert was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia (JMML) as a baby.  Just before he turned 1-year old he received a bone marrow transplant.  The donor was a young man from Germany, Florian.  He gave Josh a second chance at life, which Josh has been living to the fullest!  Unfortunately, after years of remission, the "new" cancer came back in the form of brain tumors, one on his brain stem.  Josh underwent radiation this past year with the hopes of conquering the growths, it may have slowed them down, but they persisted.  My sister Jessica and her husband Jeff have had a ton of requests to start a Go Fund Me page so that friends and family can help them with whatever expenses come their way.  Josh is hanging in there while the tumors continue to progress.  You can still get a smile out of him and he'll tell you he is doing "good" when asked.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for the abundance  of love and support our family has received over the last year (and years in the past).  Please keep Josh in your prayers. . .thank you!

If you have any questions, you may contact me, Julie, at [email redacted].

Much love from our family to yours.

Note:  If you are an employee of the State of California, Jessica has been approved for Catastrophic Leave and her balances are getting low.  Please contact me if you are interested in donating leave credits and I can forward the necessary documentation your way.
