Jose's Medical Fund Stage 4 Battle

Jose Ventura, my dad, known for his big smile, beautiful personality and contagious laugh.
On Wednesday March 1st 5:00 am that all slowly changed, my dad went to the ER for severe acid reflux, abdominal pain and hadn’t been able to eat since that Monday. They immediately admitted him and took a CT scan that revealed a 5 cm mass on his pancreas and spots on his liver.
A little history; Since November 2016 he has been having issues with acid reflux, metallic taste in mouth and nausea, at the first medical facility they diagnosed him with pancreatitis. He was given antibiotics to treat it, but in December the symptoms reappeared. He then was advised to get a colonoscopy and results showed ulcers.
Present : On March 2nd 2017 after getting the results for both the CT Scan and MRI they showed the devastating reality; Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer spreading to liver (Metastatic Cancer). Because of the spreading to different organs doctors have ruled out any surgery for removal and have advised him to go straight into chemo therapy.
We as a family are completely devastated by the news, but he is strong and determined and has made the decision to fight the cancer! We will fight it together!
The love, support and prayers from all of our friends and family has been truly amazing.
My dad has health insurance through his work place but unfortunately we all know that insurance will not cover everything. In saying this HE needs you more than ever! We are raising money for treatment expenses and medical bills. No contribution is too small and will go a long way to support him in this effort.
Although this news has rocked our world we are ready to fight this battle and we see victory! Cancer wave that white flag we are coming for you!
