Joseph Jimenez VS Cerebral Palsy - Des Plaines, IL

The nature of cerebral palsy, in most cases, is one that will be a lifelong condition. While we believe in God's healing ability & power, we also know realistically there are going to be some things we must do to keep Joseph’s safety a number one priority. Lifting Joseph in and out of the bath tub is becoming more and more challenging every day. How did it happen you might wonder? Joseph was born at 26 weeks gestational - He weighed 2 pounds 2 oz. Lack of oxygen caused a brain bleed, which is how the diagnosis of Cerebral palsy came about, and during this time, Joseph survived airway stenosis. During the first 5 years of life Joseph lived with a tracheotomy. He is now learning to be louder and is pronouncing words much better than before. Joseph had an amazing school year in the fourth grade; as a student council president, he also has won a statewide award for his excellence in technology. Now in 5th grade, Joseph’s current goals are to be able to independently dress and brush his teeth; he is currently 4 feet 9 inches tall and roughly 115lbs. A roll in shower and handicapped accessible rest room is needed. The  go fund me page will remain open even once our goal is met because ANY and ALL money raised will be in an account to be used SOLEY for things directly connected with Joseph and his cerebral palsy. Ideally, after the shower, a wheelchair accessible vehicle will be the next move.  I did not want there to be any confusion whatsoever & if anyone has any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
