Joselene's Fight Against Cancer

Joselene Chandler: Selfless, Compassionate, Bold, Resilient, Unwavering Optimist, Culinary Mastermind, and Inherently Beautiful.  I'm indescribably blessed to call this inspirational woman my mother.

My mother was diagnosed with Stage 3 Serous Endometrial Cancer in October 2013, a very aggressive form and only 10% of women worldwide are diagnosed with this type.  True to form, Joselene bravely underwent chemotherapy with a smile of determination on her face and was blessed with 6 months of remission.  Heartbreaking news hit our family in 2014 when we learned that the cancer had metastasized to her lung lining.  In June of 2015 she had a cyst removed and was informed that it was cancerous.  After having been convinced by her integrative family doctor to get a CT scan, it revealed that the cancer had moved to her liver and abdomen, yet Mom's faith and optimism remained unwavering.

Her oncologist suggested a second round of chemotherapy or the possibility of participating in clinical trials, though unable to guarantee any result.  Had mom decided to go the way of clinical trials, the side effects could have severely and adversely affected her heart, among other organs.  Through this journey she's been blessed with a husband who has stood by her side through thick and thin, and in April we were blessed with the addition to our family, a baby girl, Maya Rose Rabold.
Mom has since begun a holistic approach to cancer treatment, affording her a greater quality of life, and the opportunity to watch Maya grow, enjoy being a wife, mother, daughter, sister and now grandmother.  Since her diagnosis in 2013, Joselene has completely changed her lifestyle and dedicated herself to a pescatarian diet, one that is based solely on organic food and supplements.  She is looking into alternative treatments abroad and unfortunately, my father's military TRICARE insurance does not cover any of this.  If you have met my mother, Joselene Chandler, then you can undoubtedly say that she has inspired or otherwise influenced you in some way with her loving, strong-willed, caring outlook on life.  I implore you for help; anything helps, please help her as well as my family supplement the cost of alternative treatment, so that she may live a long and blessed life.
