Hello, my name is Josecruz Ibarra-Flores. My father, Jose Ibarra Yanez, passed away on May 16, 2019 from a car crash on I-75 north near Hwy 155 outside McDonough, GA. He lived in Dublin, GA. He was a hard working man with two sons, Josecruz Ibarra-Flores(age 18 years old) and Jesus Ibarra-Flores(age 16 years old). We attend West Laurens High School.
Our father owned a Pine Straw company. He would wake up early in the morning and drive for hours to do the jobs that he had planned for that day. Everyone loved the work he did, and he was a great man so everyone who crossed his path cherished him.
The day my father passed away, was the very same day I was having my last band concert as a senior. I had called him earlier that day, but the call went straight to voicemail. At the time I didn't think much of it. I just thought his phone had die or something. So I went on with my day with my normal day and got ready for my concert. i went with mother that night, and without a doubt the concert was amazing. I remember we had played very well. When it was all over, I walked away with my mom and we headed to the car. My mother had known what happened to my dad, but decided not to tell me until we got home. but at the time i didn't know a thing. As we got in the car, she told me " things happen sometimes for a reason son". I didn't really think about what she had said at the time. As we drove to our house, she started to drive fast and didn't speak much. i started to feel something in my heart I thought what could it be. As we got closer, she said one sentence that started to break me down , "i am sorry son". At that very moment I knew something was wrong, and i started putting everything together. As we pulled in , I saw the flashing blue lights from a police cruiser. I instantly knew something was really wrong. I could see my brother sitting in a chair with his head down . My Family was around him, and could tell he was crying. I rushed to my brother to talk to him, but my mom grabbed me by my arm and walk me to the police officer. I started to cry as i walked to the officer my legs felt heavy. deep down inside I felt it and knew what had happened. they told me all the details on the incident involving my father. he had been in a fatal car crash killing him and three others in the truck with him, his girlfriend and friends among him. my father had made all the appropriate things a safe driver should have done. there had been heavy traffic that day, my father was driving when suddenly an 18 wheeler hit him from the back. The 18 wheeler completely destroyed his truck causing the vehicle to burn. The driver of the 18 wheeler was later arrested, and is currently in prison.
The last couple days have been without a doubt the hardest days of my life. But thanks to my amazing friends and family, i have been able to get through each day. I am asking for funds not for personal benefit but because my father had lots of things he owned. like land, cars, and other things. i have to continue to pay for these or else i will lose everything left from my father, But when everything is settled involving this case i should be able to pay everything . but for now i have to continue to pay for all of my fathers belongings. I DON'T want to lose any of my father things. We are having a Funeral on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 6:00pm. place: Immaculate Conception Catholic Church . After the funeral , my father will be sent to Mexico to his home town. my family in mexico will have also have a funeral for him. I would love to go but i cant go because i cant leave the country( USA), but my brother will go to mexico this summer.
