Knox Strong

Donation protected
As many of you know, Knox was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma cancer in both of his eyes. He will have to eventually have his right eye removed and replaced with a glass eye. We are going through chemo now, and having to make regular trips to Riley Hospital. We live an hour & a half away, and gas is much cheaper right now, yes. But it's still costly when you're going multiple times a week. We aren't sure if Medicaid will cover his glass eye or not. Riley said they will put in a referral, but that doesn't always mean It will be covered. The procedure and glass eye are both going to be very costly, and were praying we can find a loophole so Medicaid will cover it but if not we have a limited time to put one in since they can't go in and mess with the scar tissue once it's healed. Due to infection/his quality of life, we refuse to let him go without an eye. We all know what it's like to be a kid without these issues in school, kids are mean & don't understand what it's like. We don't want Knox to feel like he isn't a normal child or like there's something wrong with him. We want him to have the most normal childhood possible! The expense of latex gloves, his skin cream, along with other miscellaneous items we need to keep him healthy and prevent sickness have added up quickly. We appreciate all the support we've been given & all of the people who have given kind words. Any little bit would help tremendously. Thank you to everyone in advance, we love you all.
