Help Jon Fundraise for Handicap Van

Dear Supporters,
My name is Jon Kittleson. I am a husband and artist in the process of expanding my art business. I have Rapid Onset Dystonia Parkinsonism, a rare disorder that affects my balance and coordination. I use a power wheelchair most of the time for safety reasons as I fall easily. I began to invest in my artistic talent after I was paralyzed on my left side from a wrestling accident in school and further developed my artistry after the onset of RDP at age 27. Due to coordination challenges, I had to re-train my hands for my art. I believe my art represents the ability to transcend disability, particularly with faith in Christ and investing in the talent I have in order to help and inspire others. Artistically, I have found a niche in colored pet portrait drawings and I also have an extensive portfolio of landscapes and abstract figures. You can find my art page at http://www.jonkittleson.com. I volunteer at a local nursing home to lead a coloring/drawing program. I also volunteer with my church's youth group.
I am raising money over the next two years years in order to buy a new or practically new, gently used wheelchair accessible minivan. I currently have a 2001 minivan, which had its first major issue this year with a transmission failure, and when components fail in the ramp system it is increasingly harder to find parts as they become obsolete. I'm not sure how much longer the 2001 van will last without major problems, but we're hoping for another two years at least. So my goal is to see how much money I can raise in the next two years for a new or much newer van than my current one. 100% of donations will go toward our next van.
