Jon "42" Martin Support

Donation protected

This fund is for our fellow brother. A respected CT Police Officer, MC Club Vice President, and Friend.
On Monday, July 15th Jonathan Martin, affectionately know as "42", from his Police badge number was involved in a serious crash. While swerving to avoid an animal on a sharp curve, his motorcycle struck a guardrail, throwing him from the bike into the woods and trees in the dark. Jon sustained a treacherous injury to his left leg, severing an artery,  and was literally bleeding to death in the woods. Jon managed to call 911 and help arrived, applying a tourniquet to his badly damaged leg; saving his life.  Jon suffered significant trauma and was taken on a priority to St. Mary's Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery to save his life and limb. Jon has since had numerous surgeries to repair damaged arteries, rods and pins and piece bone together, his leg, fasciotomy to relieve compartment syndrome, and skin grafts to try and close open wounds.
Jon has been unable to work. He is a paid Police Officer,  and like most of us, relies on his health and mobility to work and provide income for his wife, and two young children. He has mounting hospital bills, challenges with pay and disability, as well as all of life's responsibilities including mortgage, childcare, etc.
Jon has an extensive road ahead with more surgeries, physical therapy, inability to provide for his family and  community, and huge costs associated with it all.
Jon has always  exemplified  giving back to the community through his passion as a Law Enforcement Officer, volunteering in an Ambulance Corps for over 10 years, and a Vice President of a Public Safety Motorcycle Club 'Dedicated Few', who focuses on giving back to Veterans and fellow First Responders.
Well it is our turn to give back and help out our brother in need.
I simply asking you to decide with your heart if you can donate to a fellow brother,  loving husband and father.

Far too often we see these GoFundMe posts for someone who is not around to see the outpouring of support that our profession provides in times of need; Let's show Jon how we take care of our own, and come together for each other. Imagine the burden lifted with not having to worry about how you will pay your bills as you recover.
Please share this with anyone and everyone who puts on a uniform, everyone who rides in a Club and gives back to their community, and in FB groups and forums where we stand by each other, and with the community who appreciates our bond and mission.
Thanks for the time everyone.
