The Heidelbergs are a close knit family. I have always admired that they make it a priority to do everything together, like choosing to homeschool their kids and then to increase their focus on keeping God first in their lives, they all became full-time volunteers in the community. To support these family goals they have worked together running a food truck and restaurant for the past several years. As the chef, Jon was the heartbeat of the operation, while Holly was the backbone. Cedric and Kianna provided the personality and together they loved making people happy by providing the best food and service in the industry. Many of us have completely enjoyed following their adventures and the celebration of their positive outlook. Now their lives have been turned upside down. Jon was recently diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Not only have they had to close the restaurant, but Jon has had to spend considerable time in the hospital. Just as they have done everything together, they are determined to fight the cancer together, also. My heart moves me to set up this fund to assist them with unexpected expenses. Please join me in providing practical help and be part of their family as they win this battle!

We were all shocked at the sudden turn Jon's health took Friday, August 31st. Less than 36 hours later, Jon's battle was over. When he realized he was facing death, he told his family how much he loved them and how proud he was of each one of them.

The faithful man Job asked, "If a man dies, can he live again?" The Heidelberg family firmly believed the answer is Yes. During those last few hours they discussed their sure hope, a guaranteed hope of the resurrection.

At Job 14:14, 15 he says, "If a man dies, can he live again? I will wait all the days of my compulsory service Until my relief comes.  You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.

After 23 years of marriage, it seems like all memories present and past include your mate. It is very difficult thing to say goodbye. Jon is struggling to keep his blood pressure up. They have given him the last chance medication to help. His blood pressure is holding low, but he has remained stable for many hours now. Holly is reading him all the comforting words many have been sharing for their family. As our beautiful kingdom melodies play in the back ground. It was wonderful for all those gathered by his bed to see his heart rate climb up with the tempo of our new original song, "Give Me Courage". Holly and the kids are greatly comforted by all the support and love they are receiving.
